A DEER ON THE TRAIL

Mule Deer are native to western North America. Their name derives from the fact that they have large ears, like a mule, the ears move continuously and independently. Here is a Mule Deer I saw recently on a trail in the Ponderosa Pine forest area, close to where I live.

HAPPY SUMMER

It’s Summer Solstice, go out and get some nature therapy! Here are some flowers from a walk in the woods for #naturetherapy part seven. The flowers are Silvery Lupine, Butter & Eggs, and Western Blue Flag iris.
