Gray Hairstreaks are one of the most common hairstreaks in North America. Hairstreaks are tiny bugs, this one being one inch or less in size. They have a large variety of host and nectar plants, which include peas and mallows. The caterpillar is fuzzy and reddish in color. Here is one in my garden Violas.
