Chipping Sparrows are medium sized and slender with a rusty crown, black eyeline, long tail feathers. They hang out in loose groups, flitting on the ground looking for seeds. They can be found in open woodlands with fields, parks, and backyards. This one was in my backyard after some snow fall.

Lovely shot of a lovely little bird! This seems like a bird we probably have here, but I just haven’t noticed. But I shall now be on the lookout for it!
