PIED-BILLED GREBE

Pied-Billed Grebes are smaller waterbirds with lobed toes. They are good swimmers and divers found inland at bays, lakes, ponds and open water with aquatic vegetation throughout much of North America. They feed on water bugs and small fish. They do not do well on land as they are very clumsy on their feet. This one I saw at Sedona Wetlands Preserve.
