The Juvenal’s Duskywing is a varied species of Skipper butterfly. A varied species found throughout eastern Canada and the U.S., to the southwestern U.S. in North American oak wooded areas. Eggs are green, then turn pink. Host plants are oaks. The caterpillar is light green with white specks, head is colored red, yellow, or orange. They sleep with wings folded open like a moth. Here is one found in Arizona.

Beautiful!

Thanks for sharing. I definitely would have called this a moth, based solely on how it holds its wings at rest.
