DESERT BARBERRY

A Desert Barberry is a southwest native evergreen shrub. They have tiny flowers that bloom from April to July. They bear blue/black berries. They can be found in open high desert areas, including Pinyon-Juniper forest areas. Here is one in bloom in the high desert in northern Arizona.
