On the third Friday in May, Endangered Species are celebrated. The Endangered Species Act became a law in 1973. This act has committed to preserve all species. It has saved various imperiled plants and animals from extinction, while also protecting vital habitats. The Endangered Species Act has been more than 99% effective. Some species rescued from extinction under the ESA are: Bald Eagles, Peregrine Falcons, Gray Wolves, Grizzly Bears, Florida Manatee, American Alligators, and Black-Footed Ferrets. Here are some photos from my archives of California Condors and a Bald Eagle in northern Arizona.
