POLICE CAR MOTH

Gnophaela vermiculata is also known as the Police Car Moth or Green Lattice Moth. They are found in Rocky Mountain areas and the western United States, also in southwestern Canada. Adults have a wingspan of 2.1 inches (5.3cm). These moths are day flyers. Their host plants are of the forget-me-not family of flowers. They feed on the nectar of thistle and goldenrod.
