Ruby-throated Hummingbirds are found in the eastern part of North America in the summer, they migrate south to tropical areas of the Americas for winter. The male has a distinguishing iridescent ruby throat. Here is a female Ruby-throated Hummingbird I saw in northern Minnesota.
