A HONEYBEE

Here is a Honeybee on a blooming Prickly Pear cactus.  Honeybees are found throughout the world. In North America honeybees are found everywhere in the U.S. and southern Canada that has flowers in a habitat, such as meadows, gardens, or open woodlands. They are pollinators. These bees are very social and the drones work together to create hives with a single queen bee. The hives are found in tree hollows or kept by beekeepers. Honeybees eat nectar, honey, and beebread, which is a mix of honey and pollen. They will sting, but they are not generally aggressive.
