Wetlands are important water areas which are sometimes created as water storage to prevent flooding in an area. The designated places become home to many birds, bugs, fish, and other wildlife. Here are some birds I saw recently at two area wetlands in northern Arizona. The American Wigeon and Great Blue Heron I spotted at Kachina Wetlands, while the Black Phoebe and White-Crowned Sparrow I saw at Sedona Wetlands.
