ROYAL TERN

The Royal Tern has a thick orange bill, a forked tail, and a back of the head crest. They can be found along beach and salt bay areas of the southern coastlines of the United States; on the Gulf of Mexico, the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. They feed on fish, crabs, shrimp, and insects. This Royal Tern photo is from my archives, South Carolina back in the autumn of 2013.
