Canyon Towhee’s are found in the southwest United States and into Mexico. They can be seen in brushy areas of canyons and deserts, also at backyard feeders in residential areas. They feed on seeds, fruit, and insects. They are mostly gray with a darker tail. They have an eye ring, a reddish crown and undertail coverts. I saw this Canyon Towhee while walking in a red rock desert area in Sedona. This bird was not scared of all the humans around.
