My garden is in an area at about 7200 feet in elevation. The food growing season is only about four to five months, depending on how long winter lasts. Here’s some of the action out of my backyard garden so far this year. The bird is an immature Say’s Phoebe, the flowers are echinacea that the bird is perched on, in the background are marigolds, and lobelias. The food stuff are snap peas, basil, garlic, summer squash, cherry tomatoes, and Spanish lavender.

Lovely photos, Tracy, I’m actually planning a garden for next spring, so thanks for sharing some of the veggies and herbs that you’re successfully growing.

Beautiful garden! And it looks like you got a good harvest. We lost our high altitude (just 6000 feet) garden to hail on Tuesday — a cost of living in the foothills.

That is such a bummer, I lost mine a few years ago to hail.

Awesome Tracy! 7200’ huh. That’s up there. And your garden goodies look great. Your website and all what you do with nature is so impressive. Keep it coming girl. My best to David.
