The Coconino Plateau in Arizona is a plateau just south of the Grand Canyon, northwest of Flagstaff, and north of I-40. It is part of the larger Colorado Plateau in the southwest’s four corner states. Here are two close-up shots of the many and various rocks I found. The area was high desert terrain, about 6000 feet in elevation.
