An Eastern Phoebe is a small and plump flycatcher with raspy vocalizations and sharp “peep” calls. They wag their tails up and down frequently when perched. They can be found around yards or farms close to woodland areas in the spring and summer.

Love these guys – I have some around here – not sure if they are eastern phoebes though……..

In NM, not sure, as they are mostly east on the map…but you never know. Black and Say’s are definitely in your area though.

interesting – if I didn’t have them around my house in Maine I wouldn’t be so sure – at least one pair seems to be here!

Not that I know of… I have only seen them in the spring and summer here.
