BLOOMING PRICKLY PEARS

Prickly Pears are cactus native to the Americas. Cactus are succulents that are drought resistant and store water in their leaves, stems, and roots. I found these blooming cactus in northern Arizona, while walking close to MC Canyon, which is at the edge of the Mogollon Rim, where it overlooks the Verde Valley. These are Brown-Spine Prickly Pears.
