SONORAN CACTUS

The Sonoran desert covers a large part of the southwest of the U.S. and northern Mexico. These cactus photos were taken on the Black Canyon trail, which is at the northern border where this desert meets the Arizona Transition Zone. The elevation of this area is around 2000-3000 feet. The cactus pictures are Engelmann Prickly Pear, Teddybear Cholla, and Giant Saguaro. Read more here: TEDDYBEAR CHOLLA & SAGUARO and ENGELMANN.
