The state of New Mexico is called the “Land of Enchantment”. The terrain consists of desert lands, mesas, mountains, and basins. This state has big skies, it is home to many national forests and nation parks. It is habitat for many plants and animals. Here are some old photos that I took while in northern New Mexico, back in 2001.
A Tarantula is a large hairy arachnid. There are about 900 different species of these spiders in the world. Tarantula’s rarely bite, they are not an aggressive spider. They hunt for food at night and will eat grasshoppers, beetles, frogs, or lizards, along with other small prey.
I love tarantulas. They are so cute! Thanks for sharing!

Nice! Clint and I have thought about getting over to NM, around the Santa Fe National Forest. Any chance these were taken there?
