LADIES AT THE POND

Here are some female water birds at a local pond.

The Common Goldeneye are frequent in most of the U.S. in winter and Canada in summer.

Common Mergansers live in various places in North America, although not generally in Mexico, “the South” of the U.S., or the northern middle U.S.

Mallards are found throughout North America. Generally, Canada in the summer, “the South” of the United States and Mexico in winter, all year through most of the U.S.

Ruddy Ducks are found in the west of North America most of the year. In Canada in summer and ‘the South” of the U.S. in winter.
