Sage Thrashers stand out as they have a heavily streaked breast with a gray back and yellow eyes. They live in the western part of the United States and north and western Mexico. They can be found in grasslands and sagebrush, in winter among Pinyon/Juniper forest areas. Sage Thrashers only breed in sagebrush plains and foothills of the Great Basin. I found this one and another in the high desert close to Grand Canyon, Arizona.
