The Endangered Species Act became a law in 1973. This act has committed to preserve all species. It has saved various imperiled plants and animals from extinction, while also protecting vital habitats. The Endangered Species Act has been more than 99% effective. Some species rescued from extinction under the ESA are: Bald Eagles, Peregrine Falcons, Gray Wolves, Grizzly Bears, Florida Manatee, American Alligators, and Black-Footed Ferrets.

So important these protections stay in place.

Yes it has, I know there are a lot of bureaucratic issues with it, but it is for the better of the animals and their habitats.
