The White-nosed Coati is part of the raccoon family of mammals. They walk around with their noses down and long tail up high, foraging for food. They pause often to groom. They will eat worms, silverfish, and other invertebrate insects, along with lizards and fruits. They can be found in southeastern Arizona, southern New Mexico and Texas, into Mexico, in wooded areas, usually near water. I found this White-nosed Coati in the Tucson, Arizona area.
