Monsoon refers to a season, but generally does not use the word season. “The monsoon” or “monsoons”, are a summer thunderstorm season of high temperatures, strong winds, and a lot of moisture, resulting in either dust or thunder & lightning storms. They are caused by the warm summer air creating surface low pressure zones that draw moisture from the oceans, which brings atmospheric circulation and precipitation.
