Wildfire season is here. Ninety percent of wildfires in the United States are caused by humans, from either abandoned campfires, cigarette butts, or arson. Ten percent of these fires are caused from nature, which includes lightning or lava. Please use common sense when it comes to fires, do not throw cigarette butts out the vehicle window or on the ground anywhere. Also, do not abandon your campfires, please use Smokey the Bear rules for putting them out: First, drown with water. Second, mix the ashes and embers with soil. Third, stir to make sure that everything is wet. And fourth, feel the coals, embers, and any partially burned wood to make sure that the fire is completely out. Spread the word!
