Birds are singing and dancing, flowers are in the pots at the front door, and a random butterfly is flitting around in the sunshine. Spring is emerging. Around March 20th in the Northern Hemisphere, is the spring equinox, which means that there is about 12 hours of daylight. This light will increase daily as the season passes into summer. In the Southern Hemisphere it is autumn. Spring is known as the season of rebirth, rejuvenation, renewal, and regrowth, where things get a new beginning. Some nature things we may see are snow melt, less severe frosts, fruit trees blooming, new flowering plant growth, or wind if you live where I do on the Colorado Plateau. It is also the waning of winter temps and being stuck in the house with cabin fever. Getting out in the fresh air can do a lot for mental health, sunshine on the skin will boost vitamin D, which can do much good for the body. These pictures are sure signs that spring in here.
