BACKYARD ECOSYSTEM

HONEYBEE AND LAVENDER
HONEYBEE AND LAVENDER

The yard is a great place to watch nature. We can attract birds, insects, and small animals by providing a little food, water, and shelter for these creatures in our backyards. Plants, flowers, trees, and shrubs can provide shelter and food, while a pond, bird bath or morning dew can give water. Colorful blooms and scents from flowers attract birds and bugs during the day. At night, white flowers glow as they reflect moonlight, which attract pollinating nectar-feeding moths and bats. Here are some photos from my backyard…

  1. Gardens are the best, it really is amazing when you just sit, stare and watch all that is moving around! Someone at Violas’s told me how white flowers are under-rated, I thought about it for many weeks, realized she was right and planted a bunch! That huge sunflower and honeybee photos is amazing, looks like she is stuck in a wind storm, AWESOME!
