LATE SUMMER COLORS ON A MORNING WALK

Summer is technically from June 21 to September 20. The days are long and the nights are the shortest of the year, the temperatures can be hot. It is also thunderstorm and monsoon season in some pleaces, while the start of hurricane season begins on the Atlantic and Gulf coasts. It is the season in which things flourish. Flowers bloom, fungus grow, deciduous trees become lush and green. Late summer gardens start to give us tomatoes, zucchini, herbs, and other good stuff.
